THE PEOPLE BEHIND GHOSTS OF THE OCEAN
ALI BULLOCK - FOUNDER AND CEO
Everything started in 2006 on a trip to the Azores. In 2018 we returned to the island of Sáo Miguel to start work on the restoration of The Solar Branco Eco Estate. As COVID hit in 2020 I decided to work on creating a gin that would fund the application of the Azores to be a Whale Heritage Site. In 2023 this target was achieved.

São Miguel based gin expert Ali Bullock, owner of the world-renowned Gin Library.
Caroline Sprod – Brains
Co-owner of The Solar Branco Eco Estate, a leading eco hotel in the Azores.
Catarina “Lemon” Limao – Artist
São Miguel born artist in residence at The Solar Branco Eco Estate.
Joao Couto – Botanicals
Joao helped advise on the taste of Baleia, and was key in helping us integrate seaweed.
Una – Best Friend
Constantly by Ali’s side as he comes up with each new creation.
