BALEIA GIN

Baleia is distilled overlooking the never-ending Atlantic Ocean on the island of São Miguel. Blending traditional botanicals such as juniper, citrus and rosemary with seaweed sustainably sourced from the waters around the island. Baleia gin has an exceptionally smooth flavour, mixing a touch of sweetness with the salt of the ocean.

Every bottle sold supports marine conservation projects in the region, through a donation to The Ocean Azores Foundation. Ali Bullock, owner of the world-renowned Gin Library, located at The Solar Branco Eco Estate, conceptualised and created Baleia Gin in partnership with producer Lima & Quental. FIND OUT WHY THAT IS A GOOD THING

Baleia Gin was started in 2020 to fund the application of the Azores to be a Whale Heritage Site. In 2023 we had raised enough funds and community support to make that happen. Baleia Gin was a limited edition supporting this application.

And so our gin will be reborn as Ghosts of The Ocean. Our range of spirits will grow, continuing to support The Ocean Azores Foundation in what was our original mission, protecting those that live in the waters that surround us.
